I had to stay here for a night while working. It was clean, staff was very friendly and attentive. This was the first time staying with laquinta, and if I'm in a budget, likely not my last time. It was not the fanciest place I've been to, but I wasn't expecting it to be anyways. I am an animal person and was quite happy to see some 'stray' kittens out front that appeared to be cared for by the staff or customers.
Stayed here for a week while working for TxDot. This was post Hurricane Harvey. I have to say, I was very happy with my stay! The customer service was the best!! Very helpful and patient workers. Savanna Anderson was the best!! I look forward to my next stay with them!
Two suggestions for the hotel would be an update on the tv and internet services.
While the cable worked, it came across as an outdated service. And was the type of cable I remember as a teen where you can only scroll through stations or go to the one station that slowly displays what is on. Again, not a serious complaint, but in an age where it seems the most basic hotels provide on demand type tv packages, it came across as dated. It didn't help that the remote was taped together.
Welcoming and helpful staff, nice rooms and the breakfast is good.
We stayed in the two room suite and while it was nice because of the amount of room, the furniture sucked! Sitting around enjoying good conversation was next to impossible. Even the bed was stiff like laying on a piece of plywood. Shower was tiny and the breakfast, while there was variety, everything was cold.
Room we're clean and the bed was comfy. Staff was extremely friendly.
The internet was similar in that it worked, but offered two options. Option 1 was "faster" but required you to install an advertisers app or watch a video. Option 2 did not require this but was deemed "slower". I did not notice any difference in the two, they were both fairly slow. The faster option could handle things like watching a live feed or video on YouTube or Facebook, but would either not work or would work for a minute before your limit cap would kick in and require you to renew the lease and rewatching the ad.
