Breakfast however, was a joke. Fruit loops, danishes, and room temperature milk is hardly a breakfast. One day, a member of the staff (in charge of putting out the breakfast I'm guessing) did not come into work so there was no breakfast. I'm sure the manager that was at the front desk could have opened the box of danishes but "she didn't come into work" was the answer given by the manager when asked.
Rooms were spacious, cable, free WiFi, I did have to ask staff to sweep and mop though. I came back a few times, bed made, new towels, no trash but floors were a mess. But when asked, housekeepers were very nice and eager to help. Overall I had no complaints about the room itself.
The cable is good, Wifi isnt that great, and the beds arent very comfortable.
This place is an absolute s**t hole!!! The owners are rude, there are cockroaches absolutely everywhere, they remake the beds with the same sheets as whoever was the last person to sleep here, the bath towels smell of mildew and they're just thrown on the back of the toilet!!! Did I mention the owners are rude?!?! I say this again because of how rude these people actually are, 20 years ago I would have kicked his a$$ for speaking to me the way he did and his daughter, who by the way is the only person here who speaks fluent English, is also very rude, condescending and acts as if she's better than everyone!!! We're here in Texas, away from our home and family to help with the disaster cleanup caused by hurricane Harvey and to restore power to 300k people, they knew this and still saw fit to treat us like trash!!! Absolutely deplorable! Anyone who is considering staying here should just go to the Hampton Inn down the street, I on the other hand didn't have a say in the matter and was required to stay here as per my company contract with AEP!!! Beware, you've been warned! Before you dismiss this review because you think my comment about the lack of fluency in English was racist, tell the owners you want to inspect the room before paying, just watch how quickly they decline to allow it. BTW there's a tiny sign in the night window stating there are absolutely no refunds! Hmmm, wonder why!!! Just do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!
Clean, quiet, very reasonable price.
One star was given because of the unprofessionalism and rudeness given by the guy at the front desk. He is so incredible rude I cannot fathom why anybody would allow him to be manager I realized that piece was privately owned when I was looking for corporate or somewhere I could repeat this awful man.
The room was clean. The beds were hard. There were large water roaches in the bathroom. The towels and wash clothes were dingy. When we went for breakfast the door was locked. I checked out and asked about breakfast. He said the girl didn't show up to fix breakfast.
