Disappointed so far. Stuck here a week and it's not exactly what I'd expect from a Candlewood. Feels like they rushed construction, and it shows. Pain overspray on the floors, furniture, even on the TV. Tile job is mostly good, but the excessive grout around the bullnose takes it down a bit. Shower walls are too large and overlap past the tub by a good 4 inches, no attempt at hiding that. Bathroom fan doesn't work at all. The ring around the shower pipe is just hanging down. Exhaust fan tubing is just visible, no attempt to hide it or the hole on the ceiling. Plates on all of the walls wouldn't be so bad except that they used zinc hex screws on them instead of matching color screws. No breakfast, not unusual for Candlewoods. The door to the room doesn't line up with the plate, has to be lifted to lock... And for good measure, the bed is like a rock. Up sides, Internet is fast, staff is pleasant, hot water is hot and they have all of the movie channels (unusual for any hotel). Kind of wishing I'd of kept my room at the Holiday Inn instead of taking the corporate rate here.
Great place to stay with family or while working out of town. Spacious rooms with kitchenettes for those that like to cook instead of eating out. A store in the lobby with amenities and eats for those not wanting to get out at the last minute. Friendly staff and two covered grill areas in the back.
Good service from the desk to the cleaning staff. Nice laundry area with a workout facility. As usual Candlewood they have the store inside lobby. If you need to borrow items they have the loaner program. Items include mixers,board,games,crock pots.Stayed for over a month this time working in Sweeny and it was pleasurable.
This hotel is new, but was built with very thin (non-sound deadening) walls. The sounds from the neighboring rooms (TV and snoring on opposite sides of me) was creepy as it sounded like it was all happening in my room. I had to crank my TV to try and get some sleep. Cheap Construction equals poor experiance with no sense of your own space. In addition, there is no breackfast offered. Same price hotel down the road gets you what you expect. Drive on by this one!
I have enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Although there's no pool, there's an amazing laundry facility that IS ALL FREE, ( which is a first for me) the "fitness facility" has been very clean and always available, the staff has also been amazing, attentive and very polite. Everything I've seen is new and CLEAN! I haven't experienced loud shutting doors or the sound of people walking. I'm a light sleeper, and I've slept through the night since we've been here. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any and everybody that is looking for an extended stay.
